Easee joins ChargeUp Europe to help shape the future of EV charging infrastructure
Stavanger, Norway, 13 July 2026: Easee has joined ChargeUp Europe, the voice of the EV charging infrastructure industry in Europe.
Founded in Norway in 2018, Easee designs, develops and manufactures smart, connected EV chargers for homes, workplaces, apartment buildings and commercial sites, and has now installed more than one million chargers across Europe.
Through its ChargeUp Europe membership, Easee will contribute its experience of operating a large, distributed network of connected chargers, scalable AC charging and energy management to the association’s work on the future of European charging infrastructure.
The move follows Easee becoming the first Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) manufacturer to receive Mercury certification for grid flexibility services, a milestone that reflects the company’s focus on smart charging, interoperability and the role EV charging can play in a more flexible and efficient energy system.
Øyvind Stavland Osjord, CEO at Easee, said: “Europe’s charging infrastructure needs to scale in a way that is simple for drivers, practical for installers and smart for the grid. By joining ChargeUp Europe, we look forward to contributing our experience from connected home and destination charging to the industry collaboration needed to make EV charging more accessible, reliable and future-ready across Europe.”
Commenting on the announcement, ChargeUp Europe Secretary General Lucie Mattera said: “We are delighted to welcome Easee as our newest ChargeUp Europe member. Easee’s experience in smart, connected charging, scalable installation and grid flexibility brings valuable expertise to our industry and to ChargeUp Europe’s work to support a seamless charging experience across Europe.”
