An investment in the future

When the 18 garages at Fjellseth Borettslag were rebuilt in 2017, demand for EV charging was still limited. As more residents got electric cars, the board wanted a solution that covered current needs while also making the housing association ready for the future – without every new connection requiring a new, costly decision.

Eltera Elverum delivered a complete charging installation based on Easee Charge Core. The solution is set up with a fixed allocated power supply to the charging system, with dedicated circuits run to each garage space and Easee Ready backplates installed and ready.

Infrastructure in place, charging when the need arises

Easee Ready is what makes the solution scalable. The backplate is connected and ready at every space already today, regardless of whether the resident has an electric car yet. When the need arises, there’s no digging, cabling, or electrician work required to bring power to the spot – the charging robot simply mounts directly onto the finished backplate.

For the housing association, this means the infrastructure investment is made once, while the cost of each individual charging spot only arises once it’s actually put to use.

Fair cost allocation

Electricity consumption is settled individually by a third party, so each resident pays for their own usage – a simple and fair way to split costs that also makes everyday life easier for residents.

In addition to the 18 garage spaces, two guest chargers have been installed so visitors can charge too.
