At Easee, ‘people first’ isn’t just something we say. It’s something we actively practise to ensure everyone feels supported to become the best version of themselves. Within the UK, this has recently led to an organisational restructure in which Effie Vraka has been promoted to UK Country Director, while Alan O’Donnell steps into his new global position Technical Director, New Markets.

Since being established in 2019, Easee UK has expanded from operating as a team of 1 in Alan’s garage, to a team of 13 working from 3 different offices throughout the UK. In that time we’ve also gone on to sell over 2,500 chargers. Admirable accomplishments in their own right, but certainly more impressive considering this all occurred throughout a global pandemic!

Speaking of his time as Country Director, Alan says ‘I’m immensely proud of what we have accomplished over the past few years. We have such an amazing product and it’s an incredibly exciting industry to be a part of. I can’t wait to see what the team achieves next!’ Effie adds ‘I am humbled and honoured to be trusted with this position in such a critical time in our company’s growth. While I am very excited, one thing I definitely am not is scared. I am surrounded by a highly motivated and capable team, arguably the most advanced EV product in the world and we operate our business by practising our cultural values in every aspect of our working life. Blessed – this is how I feel!’

The reorganisation also comes as we prepare for a period of rapid growth as the 2030 ban on the sale of petrol and diesel cars comes ever closer. Heading up the Sales and Marketing team is Christian Georgeson who says ‘we are already market leaders in Norway which has the highest density of EV’s in the world. We would like to achieve the same in the UK. When people think EV charging, we want them to think Easee’.

Our vision is ambitious and our goals may seem lofty. However by listening to the needs of our customers and partners and by constantly learning from each other, we will prove how much can be achieved when you put people first and strive towards a shared goal.

If you’d like to join us on this journey, we are currently looking for new talent to join both our Sustainable Operations Team and our Integrations Taskforce. At Easee, passion and a willingness to learn are more important than experience, so check out our careers page and we look forward to hearing from you!
